Athletic Association

The Athletic Associationof the Union shall be called Govt. College Athletic Association.

The association shall consist of all the members of the staff and students with Pricipal as Ex-Officio President.

There shall be an Executive Body. It shall consist of the following:
a) The principal as Ex-Officio President.
b) The Vice-President/Vice-Presidents to be nominated by the Principal from among the teaching staff.
c) Secretary and Assistant Secretary to be elected by the students (Election shall take place along with the College Union Election).
d) One Class Representative from each class and a Women Representative.

Functions of the Executive Body shall be:
a) To prepare and pass the Budget.
b) The promotion of Games and Athletics among the students.
c) The decisions of the Executive Body are subject to approval of the Principal.

The duties of the Secretary shall be:
To arrange the meetings of the Executive Body in consultation, with the Vice-President. In this regard he/she shall have to issue a notice two days earlier mentioning time, date and place of the meeting and the detailed agenda.
To keep records of minutes.
To arrange practice matches and Athletic meet.
For the selection of the players to different inter college matches, the decision of the selection committee shall be final.
50% of the members of the Executive Body shall constitute the quorum.
In the absence of the Secretary the Assistant Secretary shall exercise the above functions.
+2 and +3 Athletic Associations should perform Annual Athletic Meet jointly.
